Drug Indication/Application/Use	Cetirizine hydrochloride is a hydroxyl derivative of Antares, an anti-allergic agent, a new generation H1 receptor antagonist, a second generation H1 antihistamine, without anticholinergic and anti-5-hydroxytryptamine effects, and rarely crosses the blood-brain barrier. It has inhibitory effects on different chemically induced mediators including vasoactive polypeptides, substance P and neuropeptides and eosinophil chemotaxis, with rapid oral effects and strong and long-lasting effects.
