Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide-3 or Acetyl Octapeptide-1 (or -3) (SNAP-8) is scientifically and reasonablely designed of anti-wrinkle active ingredients of the polypeptide. It has a similar role to Areginine Essence and has become one of the most popular raw materials around the world for upscale anti-wrinkle cosmetics. Anti-wrinkles are caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, decreasing neuronal excitability by SNARE complex destabilization.
 
Snap-8, this ingredient contains eight amino acids and (hence the "Octa") has the same (some say much better) anti-wrinkle qualities of Argirelin. Snap-8 produced a roughly 35% reduction in wrinkle depth.
