How to bag a bargain over Cyber Weekend – plus early offers to look out for Kmart Running Shoes
A decent pair of running shoes can often make the difference between an elated PB and a disappointing DNF.
But with shoes reaching hundreds of pounds in price, it can become unaffordable to select a quality pair. Thankfully, Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to pick up a more cost effective pair in the sales, and not have to skimp on luxury cushioning, stability support or carbon plates.
A range of retailers will be offering their best deals of the year across a huge breadth of health and fitness products – such as cut-price GPS watches, headphones, sports nutrition products and – perhaps best of all – running shoes.
While Cyber Weekend is still a couple of weeks away, many brands have already started to drop their prices. So, to save you having to sift through hundreds of deals, we'll be keeping this page updated with the best ones as and when the prices drop.
Every year a number of our favourite running brands and retailers slash their prices on some of their latest models. Here are some to watch:
Nike: Last year, Nike dropped a discount code for its members, which got you 25% off all full-priced items on the site (yes, that included Alphaflys). We're expecting Nike to offer a similar discount this year, so make sure you've signed up to become a Nike member in advance so you can head straight to the checkout on Black Friday.
Hoka: Known for its maximalist, cushioned running shoes, Hoka has confirmed that it will be holding a Black Friday sale across running shoes, walking boots and running apparel.
Amazon: Amazon provides great discounts on running shoes from the likes of Under Armour and Asics all year round, including over Cyber Weekend (we're talking discounts of up to 60%).
Sportsshoes: The retailer has already launched its Black Friday sale, with new deals added weekly.
Decathlon: We've tested a number of Decathlon's running shoes and have found them to be super impressive, despite their wallet-friendly price tag. Make sure to keep an eye on the retailer during Cyber Weekend for even further deductions – including on branded shoes.
Adidas: Great news – Adidas has already launched its Black Friday sale, with early discounts of up to 50%.
This year, Black Friday falls on 24 November, with sales running throughout the weekend and into Cyber Monday on 27 November.
But, as we've already mentioned, a lot of retailers drop their prices in the days and weeks prior. If you've got your eye on a specific pair of shoes, it's worth keeping an eye on them before Black Friday weekend – you don't want them to run out of stock in your size!
