Drew took her 3-year-old daughter to the emergency room when she sat in the urine-soaked hospital bed for about 45 minutes, she said.

Hospital staff who failed to change the dirty should be held accountable, Drew said.

\"This is sickening. This is disgusting,\" Drew said.

The Bronson Healthcare patient relations team is investigating the incident, according to Bronson spokesperson Erin Smith.

\"When I walked in that room, it looked like it was cleaned, not touched and pure white,\" Drew said.

Hospital staff could have handled the situation better, Drew's oldest daughter Jameshia Burton said.

\"I wanted to ask all of them, 'what would happen if you all sat in someone's else's pee while you're trying to get your daughter taken care of?'\" Burton said.

Several nurses came in with gloves and removed the sheets from the room following the discovery, according to Burton.

Drew fears sitting in another person's urine for nearly an hour could raise health concerns, she said.

\"We need to figure out a system so this doesn't happen to other people,\" Drew said.
